COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
LAY SERVANT BASIC COURSE, LED BY CHERYL DENLEY
The Lay Servant Ministries Basic Course is a foundational course designed to equip and renew current leaders in The United Methodist Church. It explores personal spiritual gifts, servant leadership, each leader's role in developing future leaders, the importance of consistent spiritual practices, the core ministries of Leading, Caring, Communicating, and much more. The Basic Course can be used for both adults and youth.
ADVANCED CLASS 1: LIVING OUR BELIEFS: THE UNITED METHODIST WAY LED BY REV. JOHN AND LOU ANN STAGGS
Explore a basic explanation of the beliefs and practices of The United Methodist Church as defined in Part II of The Book of Discipline. Uncover a deeper understanding and experience Christian faith as you embrace the United Methodist way.
ADVANCED CLASS 2: LEADING WORSHIP LED BY LAURA GILLOM
This advanced class is to show pastors and worship leaders the basics of United Methodist worship. Explore the basic pattern of United Methodist worship within the broader context of Christian worship. Drawing upon five basic principles, the author explains the formative nature of worship and how it can revitalize a person's live.
The cost of $45 includes materials, instruction, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Payment and registration MUST be received by Feb. 7 in order to receive your book in a timely manner. Your book will be mailed to your mailing address upon receipt of your registration and course selection.
